Episode, 163 of The Marketing Lyfe Podcast. This is Taylor Timothy, your host. And today, guys, we’re gonna be talking about some of the iOS update, changes that we’re seeing over on Facebook that was recently released. I want to give you guys a little update there, some simple tips and tricks that I believe can help you guys out. So let’s not waste any more time and dive in
So guys, a lot of people are probably concerned about these new iOS changes with Facebook. Am I still gonna get results? There’s a lot of doubts going on there, but from, I can tell you right now, from my end personally, I’m still seeing results. The only thing that’s been different thus far as it looks like Facebook’s reporting back to us. What were the iOS conversions that basically aren’t being tracked inside of our conversions or purchases. So you can still see that data, but apparently, I don’t know, don’t quote me on this. I’m guessing we won’t be able to do like lookalikes of those types of people. It’ll just kind of constrict our data just a little bit, but the tips and tricks I want to share with you guys today is just like to tell you guys smoothly transition over to this. So tip number one is make sure your domain is connected to your business manager.
Now, for some companies out there, this is going to be a huge issue because if they have multiple websites, multiple shops that they’re all just running through one ad account, this and one business manager, potentially this is going to cause some serious issues for you guys. So I don’t have a solution for you there because I don’t deal with that. So everything that I’m running is basically custom conversions. We’re doing lead gen, and this is the tip number two. So once your domain is connected, basically you have to go into the domain and tell the domain what eight conversions you actually want to track and a priority list. So you’re basically having to tell Facebook what conversions you want to track of the top eight. So with that being said, in my own personal situation, it’s not going to cause too much problems for me because we never running more than eight offers at a time.
So like, that’s like the max amount of offers we’re going to be running, obviously depending on lead flow and how many leads they need coming in. But in our case, this works perfectly fine for us. I still use custom conversions. I prefer them. It’s just easier for me. I don’t know. But like I said, those are some simple tips and tricks. One make sure domain is connected to tell Facebook what custom conversions you actually want to track. So other than that, guys, that’s basically some simple tips and tricks. I just wanted to share with you guys about this iOS changes. I honestly don’t think it’s going to hurt us too. I think is, is it complicating our system? Yes, it is. We’re having to do a million more steps to get an ad account set up rather than to do a million more steps to make sure we’re following their guidelines and stuff. But all in all, we’re still going to get the results. Things are still going to work. So we’re just going to keep on pushing on with Facebook and Instagram and continuing generating those leads that you’re looking for. So if you guys have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at taylortimothy.com or localdma.com as well have guys hopefully have a great day and peace.
