Ep. 157 Asana vs. Trello
Episode 157 on The Marketing Lyfe Podcast. This is Taylor Timothy, your host. And today guys, we’re going to be talking about basically these project management type software. Asana and Trello. So let’s not waste any more time and dive right in
So guys, the reason why I want to talk about this today is because these types of tools out there are super important for your success. Now, Asana and Trello, basically what they are is a, a tool out there that’s free online. It’s a digital basically checklist. It’s a digital project planner that helps you get things done in a timely manner. So I’m gonna just kinda kinda run through their sites with you guys. So you guys can kind of see what these things are. So first off we got Trello. So basically Trello is like, uh, a to-do board, right? You got your to do what you’re doing when things get done.
So basically that’s how they plan out everything that they do. All these things integrate into Dropbox, drive Slack, Zapier, so on and so forth. So if your business, for example, if you have a sales team or something, and you’re running a sales thing out of this, basically if someone fills out a form, it can be sent over into Trello is a new thing that it’s like two, do they need to follow up immediately inside of this? And you’ll know if they’re following up, if they’re working on, um, things like that. For example, if customer support, if you’re a digital marketer and someone fills out a form, Hey, I need all these things done or they send you an email. Basically you can zap that email over into Trello. And basically it will tell you that this needs to get done. Um, so there’s different things like that that you can set up and do. Um, so basically that’s, that’s just kind of how Trello, uh, looks so you guys can kind of understand and Asana
Right here.
So this is Asana, a little bit more of a look here. It’s more of like a checklist. So you have like your list view. You can do like a timeline view. You can do a board like Trello. Um, so I haven’t like mess around with Trello a ton, but I personally use a sauna. The truth is guys, these things are free. So like it’s, once you start adding people to your team, once you start adding people to your boards and your lists and projects, that basically you have to pay for it. So if you’re a solopreneur, this thing’s perfect for you. It’s free. Why would you not use it? It’s going to keep you more organized and you’re going to get things done on a timely manner. Um, so how I look at Trello on a sauna to be quite honest is like, do you like four?
Do you like Chevy? Do you like Dodge? Do you like Toyota? Do you like Ferrari? I don’t know. Like there’s all these different types of cars. It’s just the truth is what is your preference? What works for your brain? What works for you? That’s the one that you need to use. So I highly recommend that if you’re an entrepreneur business owner, whatever you are, when it comes to the entrepreneurial lifestyle, this is going to help you succeed and become more efficient and your life will just be so much more organized. If you get something like this implemented in your business. So that’s going to wrap up this episode, episode one 57, a sauna versus travel. Honestly, guys, there’s other ones out there that are great too, but these are the main two that I’ve tried out personally for me. And like I said, I just prefer a sauna, but if you guys have any questions, feel free to reach out to me@localdma.com or Taylor, timothy.com as well. If you guys want a free marketing strategy. So thanks guys for listening to this episode and peace.
