Ep. 161 Best Practices For Starting A New Business Manager
Episode, 161 of The Marketing Lyfe Podcast. This is Taylor Timothy, your host. And today guys are going to be talking about some good practices that you need to be doing inside of a business manager, whether it’s old, whether it’s new. Um, I’m just finding that these are good practices that you guys need to be doing inside of Facebook to stay in good status and stance with them. So let’s not waste any more time and dive right in
So guys, the reason why I’m a firm believer in this as if we I’m a believer, if you do everything Facebook asks you to do, then you just kind of stay in good stance with them. So I’m going to show you guys my screen for you guys, watching and for you, other people out there that are listening over on the podcast all over on Apple or Google, then just listen along here. I’ll do my best to explain. So basically, I’m just going to show you guys the screen here, basically. So you understand we are in the business.facebook.com and we’re under the business settings area. Now I will say I’m working on this right now with a few accounts, just to make sure and go through this process. Honestly, it is a pain in the butt and my own opinion because I’m still trying to figure out all the documents exactly what they’re asking for and so on and so forth.
Um, but the first thing I want to just talk about is coming into under the tab of not there under brand safety. So under brand safety, there’s a list of domains that you can block and a list of domains that you need to that need to be verified. So the way that you do this is you add your domain that you’re advertising for. And you go either into the header of the, of the website and put a code there to verify it. Or you go into like where the domain is purchased, whether it’s like GoDaddy or Google domains, you put a code in there and you verify the domain there, especially with the new iOS 14 changes coming. Um, this is something that I highly recommend that you do. So first thing, just go into your domains, connect your domain to the business manager and verify it.
Um, the next thing we’re going to go into is just under business info. So inside the business info, you’re going to see a section in there where you can actually verify and, and connect. This is how you verify your business manager. And basically what you do in there is you have to put in your address for your business, the phone number for your business, the URL for your business, and you have to send them over documents of, of what’s being of basically proving that you’re an actual business. And honestly guys, like I said, it’s not the most easy process in the entire world, but I just highly recommend that you guys actually do this. Um, just because, like I said, I’m a believer that if you do a Facebook asks you to do that, you’re going to stay in good stance and status with them at all times if you’re following their policy and things like that.
So if you guys have any tips and tricks that you’d like to share with me on getting these businesses verified, I would love to have more information on this, but other than that, guys, thanks for watching this video. And thanks for listening over on that podcast. Show me a little love, leave me a review over on my podcast. I would love that if you guys would do that for me, other than that, guys, that’s gonna wrap up this episode episode one 61. And if you guys have any questions or anything like that, feel free to reach out to me at taylortimothy.com or go to localdma.com as well. And we can schedule a time to chat. So thanks guys for watching this video and please.
