Episode 66 of the marketing life podcast. This is two Timothy your host. And today guys, we’re gonna be talking about the power of creating content. So let’s not waste any more time and dive right in.
1. When You Create Content, You Convert
The very first thing we’re going to talk about is it makes you con, it makes people convert and actually believe in you when you’re creating content.
Example: Writing A Book
So an example that I want to give you guys is when someone writes a book, and a lot of times it seems like when someone says, yeah, I wrote in a book, I’m an author, immediately people create credibility for that person and they start, they immediately believe them that they are an expert in that field. So that’s just one example that I want to use that I’m a believer of is that just by creating content, people start to believe in you.
2. Reminds Your Audience What You Are Doing
The second thing I want to talk about is it reminds people what you are doing. So an example of this is, I’m a perfect example.
Example: Photography
So to give you guys a backstory, obviously I started off in video and photography and all my friends, all my family knew that I did video and photography and it’s almost been four or five years since I stopped doing video and photography as my career.
And a lot of these people still think that I do that. They still think that I do video. They still think that I do photography. And so I’m a perfect example of this. Like I don’t post enough about what I do and what I am doing. So go out there and create content because again, it’s just going to help people. It’s going to remind them of what you are actually doing.
3. Allows You To Know What Your Audience Wants
The third thing I want to talk about is allows you to know what your audience wants. So obviously if you’re creating tons of content for your audiences, basically you’re going to know what they want to hear by how they’re engaging with your content. So if you’re getting more likes, views and things like that on a particular video, then you’re going to know that you need to create more pieces of content like that.
Example: Facebook Ads
So just to kind of give you guys another understanding, I’m running Facebook ads for my own stuff and I have two videos that are outperforming all other 20 videos. So what is that telling me? My audience and people that are in looking for my products and services are more interested in these types of videos.
4. Drives Traffic To Your Site
The fourth thing I want to talk about is it drives traffic to your site. So the end goal of online marketing and everything is getting traffic to your website. The more traffic you get to your website, the more adjustments you can make to start getting more leads and sells for your business.
Goal Is To Get To Your Website
So what you guys need to realize is the goal isn’t to get people to your Facebook page. The goal isn’t to get people to your Instagram feed. The goal is to get people back to your website. So social media platforms, email marketing, text messaging, all of that. The end goal is to get them to your website to convert them into buyers. So again, creating tons of content. This is just going to help you drive more traffic to your website.
Create Quality Content and Educate Your Audience
So guys, I’m a huge believer in creating content. Go out there and create as much content as you can, but remember, quality content, educate people about what you are doing, educate them on how to do things. This is high quality content that people are looking for. Think about on YouTube. What’s YouTube used for? Now? Everyone on YouTube going how to, how to create this, how to do this. This is all the types of content that people are looking for that I have seen on my end, so go out there and create amazing content.
